What is Hydrogen ?

Hi Guys ! Welcome you all to todays blog .

Today I will be discussing about a pretty familiar material named Hydrogen. Many would think that it obvious and we know a lot about it but It is not true. Hydrogen is as interesting as many other rare materials . Let me discuss them in more detail and lets get started.

Let start with what everyone knows, Hydrogen is a colorless, odorless gas at room temperature. It is highly combustible gas which burns with a pale blue flame. It is said to be lighter than air and the periodic table does start with it.

Now Lets learn more about Hydrogen. Hydrogen is not toxic in nature but can cause asphyxiate, in other words can generate a sensation of unconsciousness due to displacement of Oxygen in the system and hence unconsciousness. They belong to the class of inorganic compounds known as non-metal hydrides. As the class suggests that Hydrogen can bond with other heavier non-metal elements.

Availability

Hydrogen is like a universal element with availability in nature in different forms. Lets check the its availability in Humans. In Humans Hydrogen is found as in lysosome, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi , peroxisome and many more. Hydrogen is also involved in important mechanism like in the pyruvate metabolism pathway, the homocysteine degradation pathway, the pantoprazole metabolism pathway and plasmalogen synthesis pathway.
